YOUR STORY IS MY PASSION

Hi there,

I’m Jeana MacIsaac (she/her) and I’m already excited to work with you. I have all the tools to bring your vision to the screen or stage.

Producing, production management, craft services, casting, stage management, acting - you name it, I’ve probably done it. With every role, I’ve added new skills to my toolbox and gained a greater understanding of the alchemy needed to create a truly incredible production.

I bring my whole, authentic self to every project. You can expect honesty, creativity, encouragement, inclusivity, and professionalism when you hire me. I also believe reasonable working hours bring out the best in every team and, ultimately, create the very best production.

I am in my element when I am looking after budgets, bringing together the best crew and cast, securing locations, and generally taking care of business.

Through She Has the Tools Productions it is my mission to help tell meaningful stories and support local artists. And as an Islander, I will leverage my deep roots within the arts and culture community to bring together the best people for your project.

Your story truly is my passion and I look forward to helping you take it from script to screen or stage.

“My experience with Jeana has been phenomenal. She is an incredible leader and producer. What stands out to me the most is her ability to always bridge the gap of communication to ensure that everybody that is under her wing gets their needs met. I respect her work ethic immensely and look forward to working on future projects with She Has the Tools Productions.”

“THE WORLD CALLS THEM ITS SINGERS AND ARTISTS AND POETS AND STORYTELLERS, BUT THEY ARE JUST PEOPLE WHO NEVER FORGOT THE WAY TO FAIRYLAND .”

AN ORGANIZED CREATIVE

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been passionate about creating. From building a deck with my dad to playing the tuba. But there was always a part of me that also yearned to find order in the creative. I’d find myself organizing the school play or making a list of all the materials we needed to build the deck.

I truly am in my element as an organized creative.

Over the past 25 years, I’ve pursued my passion for the creative through myriad roles in the film/tv industry and the theatre world. Seven years ago, I married my creativity and love for the theatre, by becoming an Equity Stage Manager. My work has taken me to film/tv sets in Halifax, Toronto, and Charlottetown, and to theatres all across Eastern Canada.

Working in both film/tv and theatre comes naturally to me. Wherever there is a meaningful story to be told you’ll find me there, whether it’s on a stage or a set.

I’m also a lifelong learner with a relentless desire to continue pushing my limits while seeking inspiration and insight from those around me. My formal education includes a BA in Theatre from Dalhousie University and a diploma in Heritage Retrofit Carpentry from Holland College. I love renovating homes, upcycling/restoring furniture, and generally being in the thick of any hands-on project.

When I’m not organizing, creating, or renovating, I love traveling and going on adventures with my husband, Mark, and our two dogs.
